Posted in General

Plattsburgh, NY- PrimeLink, Inc, a local leader in the telecommunications industry, was recently honored with an ONYX Marketing Award. This award was presented by the New York State Telecommunications Association (NYSTA) during the organization’s annual conference held June 2-4, 2014 in Canandaigua, NY.

The ONYX (Observing NY’s Excellence in Marketing) award received by PrimeLink recognized the business in the Print Collateral category for a direct mail piece, promoting the company’s expansion into Warren and Washington Counties in New York. The piece included a brochure outlining the history of the company, as well as a map of the Fiber Optic network that is available for high-speed internet and voice services. It also incorporated a personal letter from a PrimeLink Account Executive outlining the products and services available. PrimeLink President and General Manager Greg MacConnell said, “On behalf of our committed PrimeLink employees, I am very proud to have had the opportunity to see our marketing efforts recognized at the NYSTA annual conference.”

Founded in 1921 by 13 telephone companies as the “Upstate Telephone Association of New York,” in 1935 the name was changed to the New York State Telephone Association, Inc. to reflect a broadened scope of interests. In 1997, responding to major changes in the industry, the Association changed its name to the New York State Telecommunications Association, Inc. Currently, in addition to the 52 telecommunications carriers, the Association includes 19 internet service providers and more than 150 associated manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants to the industry.

PrimeLink was established in 1997 and is a full service telecommunications company providing a wide array of advanced services, including local and long distance telephone service and broadband internet access for residential and business customers over its fiber optic network.
